Given a point on the Earth's surface, the antipode of that initial point is diametrically opposite the intitial point. In terms of longitude, the antipode of a point is 180 degrees of longitude from the initial point. In terms of latitude, the antipode is the same number of degrees from the Equator as the initial point, but of opposite sign.
